Every Sunday all children (babies through 6th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Our goal is to create a positive experience for your child while developing a desire to know God personally, discovering their purposes in life, igniting a passion for Christ, learning to listen to His Spirit, and cultivating a concern for people’s needs in our communities and the world.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
We suggest arriving 15 minutes early in order to check in your child and make it to the service on time. You can also choose to pre-register your child online before your first visit.
Make your first visit easy by registering with our KIDCHECK system ahead of time.
Upon arrival, you may check in your child at any available station. After entering your phone number in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification number will appear on the screen in the sanctuary. We ask that you exit the sanctuary immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
Creative Bible Teaching
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.
Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. Our small groups are divided by ages so children can grow and learn along with children their same age.
Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number. All of our volunteers are screened with a background check and have attended our church for at least 6 months.
We affirm the home as the center of Biblical guidance. Parents are the most important people in a child’s life, and learning about God starts in the home. Teaching children about God is a seven-day-a-week effort; not something that is done just an hour or two on Sunday morning. We pledge to do our best to support and encourage you in your child’s spiritual education, and stand ready to help you at any time.
Infants & Toddlers • Comfort Zone
An environment where babies, toddlers, and parents feel comfortable and secure. Designed for children birth to two years old, we are staffed with caring volunteers who are focused on making sure children are cared for, loved, and accepted.
Preschool • Ocean Adventure
Preschoolers (2 – 5 year-olds) are getting their very first look at who God is and what his love means to them, so all of our hands-on activities, games, and stories are geared toward helping them experience and connect with the life-changing truths of the Bible.
Lower Elementary • Kidmission Kid
Lower Elementary (1st – 4th Grade) seeks to give kids community through a large group/small group setting. Through creative programming, music, and dramas, kids hear God’s story. Kidmission small group leaders serve with passion and the joy of knowing they’re making an eternal difference.
Upper Elementary • Route 56
Our Upper Elementary (5th and 6th grade) is where adult leaders develop mentoring relationships with kids in a creative and fun learning environment. God’s Word comes alive in both large group and small group settings. Our 5th and 6th graders have a fun space to call their very own. It comes with couches and beach décor too. These preteens are on a journey “a route 56” to our youth group. *Meets during the 10:30 am service

JOIN OUR TEAM!
Eastwind’s Children’s Ministry offers many opportunities to connect to families through volunteering. Each of our positions is a commitment to being part of a team during the same service time each week (since we offer two services every Sunday, it gives everyone the opportunity to serve as part of the body without missing the adult worship, sermon and fellowship times).
